Dust Remains To Speak represents a shared aperture onto a remote, ever-growing accumulation of cybernetic sonic matter. The Khôra archive functions as a private laboratory of the unconscious and ledger of mystical states insofar as its lineaments and nature exceed rational comprehension or simple intention. This raw locus of sound has here been tuned and summoned into pointedness by folding it upon itself, using palimpsestic tactics to confound origin, and refracting its content through concepts: the suspension of rigid identity structures (renewal of ineffability), the maintenance of a vision and embodiment of the möbiusoidal intimacy between proprioception and processive actualization, the co-presence of apparently distinct spatio-temporal dimensions, and the exhumation and replication of liminal states inherent in our vibratory materiality all serve as through lines. However, the dominant impulse to orient an otherwise anonymous and esoteric procedure toward 'humanity' occurred under auspices of a Gaian urgency, a root intention to cut through the thicketed economic, social, and political dimensions of music making and send the coruscating mysteries unabashedly screeching into polite civil existence, which is to say - this entity is overtly critical of and combative against unreflecting, culturally sanctioned fantasies which bind us to weakness, ignorance, exploitation, toxicity, predation, and annihilation. In this respect, Khôra enters into an alchemical and diabolical dance not only with political and economic strata and their pernicious dictates of reifying and extolling ego and capital but also with the continuance of the vital force proper, strategically pushing it back upon itself, risking indifference to its maintenance as a reflection of our species' morbidity and illness but only in order to locate the limits of its durability, pliability, and thus, the radiance of love, matter, spirit.

In September 2017, the material presented here was siphoned from the future over the altar of imagination after years of collecting dust. As a token of the sentiments above and as a critical inversion of the artist's posture 'to make a living’, the edition of 15 hand-made LPs will be offered for less than their cost of production. If one could survive on dew alone and wasn’t otherwise beholden to systemic and bodily contingencies, these frequencies would surely be transmitted in a gift economy. While such problematics continue to be reassessed and resisted, I hope the album can still be received in an emergent paradigm wherein the recursive exteriorization of the soul and its galvanizing and healing functions are grasped as an apotheosis of technology.

I lived and worked in Berlin the 80s. West Berlin. The legendary Hansa Studios. Heard rumours about Martin’s studio, and snippets of music. I never managed to connect with him though.
